The Parthenon in Nashville, TN

B and I had been wanting to come to the Parthenon in Nashville for some time now because it is a full scale replica of the Parthenon in Athens.  Built in 1897 for Tennessee's Centennial exposition, it is the reason that Nashville is known as the Athens of the South.
Hopefully this picture gives you a good idea of how impressive this reproduction of classical architecture really is.

We came her on Sunday morning and although it was a bit chilly, it was the perfect time because there was plenty of parking and nobody was really here, just us!
The Parthenon is located at 2500 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
Have you ever been to the Parthenon in Nashville or in Athens?

I never thought it too! Amazing how you captured the architectural replica. I thought first that you are in Athens. Truly, these photos give a good idea. Impressive!
